Hey all,

well built my compy myself, installed a fan controller which works super great :D but..... when i power on my compy it gives me a message that says CPU fan error or something to that effect. anyways i know what the problem is, its that i dont have my processor fan connected to the mobo, and connected to the fan controler

now my real question is how can i bypass that so i dont get the message? is there some type of jumper or somthing? jw. its kinda agervating turning on my comp and it getting stuck there untill i press F1.

so any advise is welcome!
Thanks!!

hello. ok, i have two options, u go with whichever one u want to.

1. plug a case fan/other fan into the cpu fan prongs.
2. in bios, look for "halt on" or "halt if" or something like this. when u find it, select "never" or "none" this should fix it. :)

cool ill look. thanks for the reply.

oh and just to put this out there. one of my friends and i were thinking about running an A/C duct to a computer for cooling like the ones in houses. Would this work? only down side i can see is that you have to have your ac on when your on the computer. lol
let me know what yall think.

heh, thanks Johnny, just went into bios like ya said and told it to ignore CPU fan. my bios is really straight forward, but never thought about it. but thanks again!

lol well our first idea was to build the pc inside a wall and seal the section. have all the bays mounted inside the wall with a projector for monitor to project the view on the wall. then just set up a recliner with keyboard joystick etc etc, but thought that would be kinda hard if ya had to get to anything. :) so... but maybe later. i would love to do that!

Some mobos have the option of setting the threshold too ... so if another fan, say the case fan is connected to that lead... the sensor can be reconfigured for that fan
