CPU fan not runing?

alright so my cpu fan isn't running when i turn on the computer...does the fan only run after the cpu gets to a certain degree? or could it b that my fan is installed incorrectly....i only connected the fan to the mobo is there another connection? thanks
 
Depends on the fan as far as connections go.
Uhm.
Running a computer without a cpu fan is usually a bad idea.
=)

But I'm pretty sure it should always be running.
Even if just at a reduced RPM

well my cpu is the one in my sig....n yes i no its a bad idea hehe thats y i want some help lol...is there another connection i need to make to mayb give it power?

wen i turn on the computer...it kinda moves a bit n then stops...:confused:

hmm i notice that my cpu fan connector is only a 3-pin n the connector on the mobo is a 4 pin...n wen i look at the mobo book it says that that last pin is the speed control..could that b the reason y? n if so (for people have have big typhoon) wht do i do?

ok so wht i did was i helped the fan start afer the comp is on...n it works....so does that mean i might not have enuff power? thanks
 
Sounds like your fan is busted to me. The same thing happened to one of my case fans, it would start and then stop, and if i gave it a push it would go again. Had to replace it. You should have went with a Freezer 7 Pro
 
i c...well it seems to work right now....heres my guess of wht was wrong...my case has a side view thing...n theres an opening for a fan or vent i guess...but i kept the plastic wrap over the case cuz it wasnt done yet...so i just undid it and now it seems to start everytime....should i still replace it u think?
 
ok ya ur right its prob messed up

so ive heard of one suggestion....which is to switch to the freezer 7 (which seems like a good deal seeing as its cheaper than the typhoon) but are there any other suggestions? thanks
