CPU fan

I just found out where those fizzy annoying sounds is coming from, the cpu fan.

Are there a specific fan I have to use for the rig below?

PC: P4 2.4C 800mhz HT, 512 DDR PC3200, 120 GB HD, Sound Blaster Live 5.1, GeForce FX 5200 128

Not really.... Just look up the socket that you have and make sure it's compatible with whatever you're thinking about getting but most aftermarket fans have broad compatiblility.... I'm sure someone will pop-up with the socket you have....

If the fan on the stock heat sink isn't giving out it probably needs a good cleaning from dust building up on it. Periodically you have get inside the case and do some house cleaning there with a can of compressed air. Some prefer to take a case just outside and blow dust outside rather then being inside for this.
