CPU Fans and Thermal Paste....

As some of you know from my other posts, I just built this new system 3 days ago. I decided to overclock, and now have decided I want to buy an aftermarket CPU cooler. My temps seem fine right now (30C idle-45C full) but I may want to OC a bit more, and think it could be best to get an aftermarket cooler. One question....
To apply the arctic silver 5, I followed the instructions on its website. Apply a thin line down the center of the CPU and then place the fan/heatsink on it and rotate it back and forth in place. Now that I want a new fan/heatsink, when I remove the stock one, will I need to reapply the AS5, or will it all be on the CPU? Thanks

i would recommend using another lot of the artic silver 5, reason being is because when you remove the heatsink from the cpu itself, you will lose out on roughly half of what you applied first off because there will be some left on the old heatsink. if it were me... which is going to be very soon lol. im going to just remove the old stuff and put a new layer of artic silver 5 on there.
