CPU GHz

My computer crashed due to a Trojan Horse, virus or something. It uses an AMD 3000XP CPU. I reformated the hard drive using System Comander (I could not seem to revive the old info), reinstalled my OS (XP Pro) and whatever programs, printers, et I wanted to use. I have, of course, now got the latest in virus, worm, Trojan Horse, firewall, adware, pest, et at this time. The only problem seemed to be that I no longer could use dual monitors (extended desktop). I installed a new video card and all seems well in computerland, except. In the past it showed my CPU running at 2.18 GHz, now it shows it as 1.74 GHz. Please help and advise. Thanks...

Maybe the FSB (LIKELY)

Hey have you checked your settings in the bios? I think yours should have the FSB set at 166 (you probably have it at 133). Check for that. As for the monitor problem...it has to be there in the driver settings.

1. What are the specifications
2. You need to grab the video drivers and enabling the dual video :)
