CPU Heatsync/Cooler Needed.

I need a good cooler for my 955 BE. I originally planned on going with a Xigmatec Black Knight based on good reviews and benchmarks, however after further reading a lot of people have complained about the dark knight being too large for am3 motherboards, and overlapping 2 ram slots (Recommended to be used for best performance).

Is this something I should even worry about? or is the "recommended for best performance" slots are only recommended due to a minor detail such as being physically closer to the CPU.

Are these complaint becuase of larger RAM sticks?

System CPU/Mobo/RAM:
-Phenom II X4 955 BE

-ASUS Crosshair III 790FX
-------Gigabyte GA-790FXTA
(I'm awful at making up my mind =().

-OCZ AMD BE DDR3 1600

Does anyone have a setup similar to this with the Dark Knight that would care to share any problems they ran into?

Bottom line is I'd like to know some good alternatives to the Black Knight if the concerns stated above are valid.

You planning on overclocking? I hear the Thermalright Ultra 120 is good, along with the Xigmatek Red Scorpion.

Get the V8 Cooler Master. Its what i use and it keeps the system nice and cool. I think its worth like $70bucksish

Read a few reviews, Scythe Mugen 2 rev B provide good value for its performance.
