Hi, I'm looking at buying a new processor for my computer but am unsure as to which one i should get. I was looking at the e4500 or the e6750. I wish to overclock it aswell.
This is my current set up.

CPU: Pentium 4 531 3.0Ghz
Mobo: XFX 650i Ultra
Vid Card: XFX 8600GTS
RAM: 2 x 1g Corsair 667mhz
IDE: 2 x IDE HDD
SATA: 1 x DVDRAM

The E6750 is by far better than the 4500, it just depends on what your able to spend

I am on abit of a budget, but it shouldnt be a trouble. I was more wondering if the e6750 would be worth the extra $100 for what i want it to do.

You could easily overclock the E4500. But it all depends on the motherboard, and what your going to use it for.

I'll only be using it for Mid-Range gaming and running Media Player which is why i would think the e4500 would do fine. I also heard that the e4500 can overclock higher than the e6750 with 667mhz ram... Not sure if this is true or not.

The price difference between the E4500 ($144) and the E6750 ($194), is only $50. I think it's definitely worth the extra $50 to increase the speed from 2.2 to 2.66, as well as twice the cache, and a 1333Mhz bus instead of an 800Mhz bus.
