CPU Intel or Amd

I'm getting a r9 390 8gb from msi as my graphic card and since its my first build I need to buy everything...mouse, keyboard, monitor

But AM3 is a dead socket. And if you went with an Intel build it would perform much better.

I went from a Phenom II X6 1055T to an i7 4790K and the performance of Watch Dogs got wayyyy better.

And I've done a lot of research and the combination is really good for gaming
Suit yourself. I have a 8350 in my HTPC. It's not a bad processor, but for the price you quoted you'd get better performance for the same money on another platform.

8320 user here. Don't buy an AM3+ socket unless you're looking for a cheap option you don't plan on upgrading anytime soon. It's a solid chip, but it's not what you would be looking at for a machine with a budget even half of that. My single core performance still drives me up the wall in rare instances.

Don't go with an AMD. Not only is the AM3+ socket pretty much dead, but even a base model i5 is better than a high end 6-core AMD processor. The high end i7 such as the 4790K or 6700K (which should be released any day now in mass) will be extremely better in every category. I'd also recommend a GTX 970, 980, or 980 Ti depending on budget left.

AMD CPUs are good for budget builds like $400 and $600 builds.
