CPU Issue. Showin the wrong Speed

Hi, I have a AMD X2 3800+ @ 2.0GHz but it shows up as 575MHz. I install it with Vista and it was fine but when I install it on XP it looked different. here is a pic of what i mean.

Probably right. Try putting the CPU under stress and then see.

I try workin around with the bios and it didnt do anything. But i think i need to flash the motherboard and that will fix da problem.

Start up Photoshop or another intensive program and it should increase. OEM manufacturers use stepping for power saving and such. When you stress the CPU it should jump up.

And if you spell "the" as "da" you should NOT be flashing your BIOS.
