CPU Mobo installation

I am currently trying to build my new computer. But I just have one question and I am a little concerned. I put in the CPU correctly as the instructions stated, it feels like I have to put a little more pressure than I would want to to close the socket. Is it ok if I am suppose to put a little pressure on it to close it?

The CPU is E4300 and Mobo MSI P6N SLI Premium
 
Did you match the golden triangle shape with the socket and do the pins perfectly fit?
If yes, you should put a pressure on it to close it.
 
yeah just make sure the triangles match up and the little saftey sockets on the side of the processor match up with the ones in the socket. after thats confirmed then yes put pressure on it
