CPU & Mobo

I'm looking to upgrade to a new system. previously, e8400 @ 3.6 ghz with a p5nd board. 4 gbs of ddr2 and dual 9800gtx+. corsair 550 watt 41a on 12v

As of right now I want to purchase a CPU and Mobo. I am a gamer, and i suppose i'd like to play the new and upcoming games with high detail. I want to keep my dual 9800's for right now as i'm low on cash. Can you guys point me in the right direction on a CPU and mobo combo? I'm leaning towards AMD's 1100T... I would like the best bang for my buck. Thanks all.

the i5 will give you more frames for your money, even thought the 1100t has more cores and all, the architecture of the i5 is much better so clock to clock the i5 kills any amd out right now.

Advanced Micro Device's Zambezi Core processor technology will likely be released by the end of August 2011. I am hoping for the future AMD FX-4120 Quad-Core processor to match an Intel Nehalem Core i7 965.

Your current computer is not so bad.
If you can wait I would suggest waiting until Zambezi is released.
Ir you can upgrade your Motherboard to AM3+ and change your CPU to Athlon II x4,then upgrade to Bulldozer.
Or you can get Core i5 2500k(As of now which will offer the best performance but will be bottlenecked by your GPU).
Or also you can just upgrade the GPU now and then upgrade the motherboard and CPU and Memory.

I'd get the 1090t, unless the 1100t is the same price. Same stuff, just clocked higher on the 1100t, which is something you can easily do yourself.

I appreciate all the input guys. I guess depending on how Zambezi does when it comes out will determine what upgrade i'll do.
