CPU, Motherboard or what? Help pls

Alright i just got home from a 2 week vacation and went to turn on my computer. To my disappointment it didn't start. Now i tried changing everything around inside (like the ram and making sure everything is connected) and even changed the extension cord i use. All of this didn't help.
For some more info:
When I start up my computer i hear no beeping
My case fans and GPU fans start, as well as my dvd drive.
I do not get any image at all on my monitor.
My power light does not light up on my tower.
The whole time I made sure I was 'grounded'.
Everything in my computer (but the graphics card) is right around 1.5-2yrs old.
I built this computer and for some reason I seem to think it is either my motherboard or CPU, yet I'm not the smartest with computers so any help will be greatly appreciated.
 
Likely your motherboard has gone. But the problem could also be the power supply or the memory. Did you pull out the RAM modules and try them one at a time? I would also try to replace your power supply with a working power supply.

The processor is almost never at fault.

Edit: You might also want to try replacing the video card.

Alright thanks for the input.
I am almost certain it is not the graphics card because that was replace only 2 months ago and it was the same one as it was before.
