CPU on PCI board?

I remember back in the day, they used to have boards for 486 processors that you could put into ISA slots. (i still have some) I was wondering if theres anything like that for PCI slots? I wouldn't mind an extra processor just to run small programs. I currently have an Intel 3 GHz HT processor. Is there any other way to add more processors without creating a beuwolf cluster or getting a new MoBo?

If you could create a PCI based CPU, it would:
- choke out your PCI bandwidth (or)
- get choked out by other devices on the PCI chain
Are you serious about this or just interested in experimenting? :)

The only recent thing that ive seen remotely related to CPUs and stuff like that is that Socket423->Socket478 convertor. With DDR system busses now i dunno if that iedea will work anymore
