CPU Overclock

My E4300 is currently at 2.48GHz

Will I be able to overclock it to 3GHz without increasing the voltage?

I dont see why you cant hit 3Ghz, but in order to do that you need a good overclock-friendly motherboard, not those cheap VIA-based motherboards or cheap ECS brand.

I have an MSI P6N SLI Premium Mobo. From what I heard, it's an amazing overclocker, according to Tomshardware

I tried it at 9x325 and it said the overclock failed. It's now at 302x9. So I assume I have to up the voltage, but it won't let me in the BIOS. It's disabled for me

I have the same motherboard, and my voltages are not locked. Are they locked for the E4300 or something? Are you sure your looking at Vcore?

yes, i believe its the first one in the list of voltages. Its the one thats in the format of ...

0.0250
0.0375
etc, etc.

Might have something to do with the BIOS version perhaps?
