is the cpu in your sig BE? i got mine to 3.3ghz stable, and 3.4xx pretty much stable (was on it for a day, ran some prime95, crashed during crysis)

yeah it is. i've got it to 3.0-3.1ghz stable without touching the voltage. i would change the voltage but i'm not sure what the ceiling is on that, or how hot it gets. mine already idles at 35*C.

well, im in the process of getting a Q6600 so thats what i voted. it turned out to be defective i think so i sent it back. someone brought up a good point after i sent it back that it could be my bios, but newegg has a 7 day (postmark) policy on cpus so i didnt want to take a chance just in case it was defective.

ive gone Intel Dual Core, after having BSOD of death all the time , with crap overclocking, always overheating and unreliabilty of an AMD chip so bugger if i was gonna get x2 chips in one from AMD

You're getting BSOD's because you are overclocking, you wouldn't get them running stock.

stock or overclock i get BSOD, and anyway whats the point when u can get a DUAL CORE and overclock and still have the same temps and stability, wheras stock on an amd is like texas

I've gotten my 5000+ to 3.2 stable only by changing the multiplier-up to 16 in the bios-not even touched the FSB or voltage.
