CPU power lead

can anyone help.
just got my new computer from ebuyer, but the power cable for the processor doesnt reach.
also i turned it on to test it without the power for the CPU (wasnt sure if it was needed) and all i got was a loud screeching noise which sounded like a warning noise.

can anyone tell me how i can get the wire for the CPU power to reach? i think thats causing the warning noise.

You can get extension cables though normally good psu`s are long enough, is it the 4 pin thats too short?

yeah its the 4 pin thats too short.
do you think this is causing the screeching noise?

Normally if you hear one continuous beep/screech its one of the following---Power supply, system board, or keyboard problem and as you havnt attached the power supply yet, it is the cause, what psu are you using?

my PSU is:
OCZ Stealth Xtream 500W PSU

il try ordering a cable of ebuyer and see if the beep stops.

Yeah OCZ are ok these days, am surprissed the power cord didnt reach though
