hi, my computer turns it self off now and then..it makes a big fan noise when its exhausted and then turns it self suddenly..and becomes dead..it doesn't turn back on straight away..i have to wait for like 10-20 min b4 i can turn it back on..it seems the longest i keep it off ...the longest i can keep it on...how can i fix this?

What hardware do you have?

The likely cause of this is that your CPU is overheating so it is automatically cutting off once it reaches a certain temperature to prevent further damage..

check to see if you have good contact between your cpu and hsf. Also, try reapplying some good thermal paste. Sounds like your cpu fan is speeding up trying to cool your cpu down, then when it goes over the temp threashold, the computer shuts itself off to prevent hardware damage.

Which i did say

Or, you can use my slighly deranged way of saying it:

With a celeron, your only eating celery
But with Pentium 4, your eating pie.

:D:D:D:D:D:D iM CrAzy!!

well it depends on who's eating it. If it's a 100 year old lady, then they really don't need the pie. But if it's a young man, then they'll need the pie. So what im trying to say is, you don't need a P4 for checking emailes and surfing the web. But if you're gonna do some gaming or video editing, then p4 would be better. But you'd be better w/ an amd for that anyways.
