Me and my friend Toran have been arguing over a processor he says this sucks that I should get an intel atleast 2.5 ghz, I said intel sucks on gaming (which my comupter is going to be basedon) i said that AMD does more each clock cycle and its dual-core he says that doesnt matter. Tell me who is worng plz I think my friend is an idiot just looking at the clock speed!

Modern CPU's by Intel and AMD run games plenty fine. However AMD CPU's have an advantage at gaming due to their on-die memory controller.

Both run fine, however AMD is plenty faster than intel. Although the clock speed is lower, a 2.0ghz AMD cpu, can beat a 2.8ghz Pentium 4.

Edit: Pentium 4's mainly have the advantage when it comes to multimedia, such as video encoding etc. For gaming, go AMD.
