cpu problems?

my comp start to suddenly turn off by itself without any warning i dont know if is the cpu over heating or from the comp overheating but i put the comp in a pretty wide open area so i not too sure.

also lastly i think my cpu is over heating cause when i open a movie the usage skyrocket to like 80-99% i dont know wat the problem i just put some new thermal paste on it.

need major help

Check your heat sink fan and see if it running. You might have to re-apply some thermal paste between the heat sink and cpu. Clean cpu and re-apply. Download and install speed fan and check the temp. http://download.cnet.com/SpeedFan/3000-2094_4-10067444.html

Have you opened up and cleaned it out also. Get a can of air and blow everything out. Especially around the fans. It is running way to hot.

Yeah that's way too hot for almost being at idle. Clean it out as best you can and get back to us, let us know if dust was the problem.

Well don't put too much thermal paste dat could screw your processor..
maybe it has something to with over clocking.. if u have overclocked processor try using default values.

probably dirty/cablemanagement, take a look inside, if it looks like a rats nest that has been left for a few months, take it outside, dust it off, and spend about a hour tieing cables out of the way to the chassis..
