CPU reccomendations

I'm looking to buy a new processor, motherboard and graphics. Anyone have any recomendations??

I use my pc for gamming and college work and i want somethin that won't require me to upgrade within few years and something that if do upgrade, that i wan't have to buy i new motherboard because of the processor socket
 
well if your looking for future upgradeability then i would go witht he AM2 socket since the AM3's will uses the same socket
 
Thats the word now, you think it can't change? Why go with what may be upgradeable in the future when he could go with whats best now. The core 2 duo. I don't see their performance being grossly outdated any time soon. All one can really do is try to stay on top now. Nothing anyone gets is going to be great for more than 6 months or so anyways, after that you can just count down to good, ok, works and than finally time to upgrade.
