My cpu temp averages about 56C I thought this was pretty hot considering my case temp was only in the 30's. Does anyone else have my cpu that would know if this is high temp or not. Um.. my info is below and I believe it has a clawhammer core.

Thanx

That's a little toasty, but not bad. As for the case, obviously that's the temp inside the case, rather than the temp of something putting off heat.

I assume you're using the standard heatsink? I'm using the Artic Cooler 64 and getting about 45-50C with my setup.

how much do you think an arctic cool would help in terms of temperature.
Also when should I be afraid of toasting my cpu?

p.s. just for the info Its not overclocked

Also im pushing 60 when I play games.. isnt that like 145 degrees??

Hmmmmmm

Which Arctic Cooling fan? I think they perform pretty well on a general basis. I think your temps are quite high though given you do not OC. Are you sure that the HSF is properly placed?

JAN :D

I'll check but I think what I'll do is buy a nice heatsink, copper maybe. Then put that on there an see what it does. Isnt copper pretty much the best? Who makes copper heatsinks for athlon 64's?

You guys know a good place besides newegg cause thats where I usually get all my things?

Thanx fellas im gonna get that heatsink asap. You know what, I think my room temp may have helped it get a little bit hot since its now summer and my room temp is in the 80's. No ac yet, (to cheap)
