says my CPU idles at around 35-38 is this rite or what should i go by a certain temp
Temps will vary between the bios and any Windows monitoring program since a cpu runs full boar without the system idle process while in the bios. If the board was an Asus model I would suggest the Asus Probe II temp monitor for Windows. But for both XP and Vista the PC Wizard 2008 is a good Windows program. http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php
The bios readings are direct from the board's sensors. But the 6000 normally runs in the mid 30s. The core temps always vary from the overall cpu temp. The screen shot here shows what is seen with PC Wizard 2008 including video card temps.
It's interesting to see that 35C drop 2 or 3C as soon as a game is run. When and if you see temps with either climb high then you will know there's a problem. Otherwise temps will vary by the time Windows is shut down for a look in the bios and after loading up again.
