cpu temp ?

In PC Wizard 2007 it says

Processor Temperature 34*C
Processor Temperature (Core 1) 42*C
Processor Temperature (Core 2) 42*C

How if the cores are 42*C is the processor temp only 34*C?

The "CPU" temp is always wong for me. it says something nuts like 52*c and NEVER moves. So just look at the cores, is that idle?

i don't think they are realy bad, but i would suggest getting a new cooler because i would like idle temps to be 38 and lower atleast. But thats just me, im not sure what a normal idle temp is for that chip but im thinking like 35ish..

What does Bios say? PC Wizard is about the best windows monitoring tool but it can always be wrong.

Edit, do you know about what your load temps are?

I'm not sure on load temps......but kinda temps should i have for idle and load for the cores and cpu?

PC Wizard always tells me my idle temps are around 29c, the core temps are always slightly more for me as well.. not sure how, I just go with it.

Maybe the core(s) read higher because they, along with their sensors, reside inside of a sealed metal casing, where-as the cpu temp. sensor resides near the outside of the casing? Just thinking logically, I'm probably way off here..

lol, my "cpu" temp in pc wizard is a fixed number like "52*c" NEVER moves while my cores are 28*c lol. Thats why i always go by the core temps which is what you need to look at anyway...

If your CPU is around 30°C, the it isn't really possible for the cpu to go around 70°C.

What I am trying to say is, If you look in to your bios, you will have a clue. If Idle is around 50 °C, then I'll start making worry about it.

I'm working on overclocking it so i what is the max temp i should run it at with a full load?
From my experience, I would not let it get to 70C or higher, otherwise it will crash often. Ideally though I would try to keep it under 65C under full load.

The core temp is in the actual CPU, whereas the processor temperature is a reading on the motherboard right under the CPU, I believe.

Im using hardware sensors monitor 4.3 and it says my CPU1 temp is 46c but that core0 is 28c and core1 is 27c. Gathering from this thread I should be looking at the core temps not the CPU temp, correct?

So is PC Wizard the best tool for monitering the CPU temps?

I get 33c idle and 52c load, I think they're too high, I want to apply AC5 again, don't know if I'd regret it though... Those temps are according to Intel TAT...

Here's PC Wizard, the temps seems pretty low, sure they aren't that low... Also, my voltages are completely messed up!

lol, Thanks man, but everybody says that Intel TAT is the only one you should use if you've got an Intel Dual Core CPU, but when you use it says that you have a Pentium M CPU, so I don't know if it's correct. Is PC Wizard trustworthy?
