cpu temperature?

What is considered cool and what is considered hot for a computer?
my computer is at 44 degree celcius when im not doing anything but when im playing games it goes up to 50-55.

Depends on what processor it is, thats pretty normal for some and alittle hot for others.

Those temperatures would be normal for a Pentium 4/Pentium D /Celeron D, if it's a Core 2 Duo those temps are a bit concerning.
