My cpu monitor tells me tht the cpu voltage is 1.41v - is tht too high?
If the voltage is too high - what problems do high cpu voltages cause for the pc?

What processor do you own? Higher voltage will lead to more heat. Depending on the temperature, the heat can damage your CPU. Anything above 70*C is too high, IMO. If you're not overclocking, I would say that voltage is too high for a stock speed setting, but it would be helpful to know which processor you're using.

i own a AMD Althlon 64 3800+ and i'm definetly not overclocking
and recently my cpu has been heatin up to 80C when i play COD4 and it crashes all the time after about 10 minutes of playing time
do you think tht a high voltage is causing this? i read on wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...essors#.22Orleans.22_.28F2_.26_F3.2C_90_nm.29
the opitimum voltage is between 1.25-1.40 V

If you think it is causing this, what core voltage should i change it to?

Change it to 1.25. If your computer fails to boot, continue to raise the voltage in .01 increments.

i can change the voltage on this program called "AI Booster" which monitors all cpu temps and stuff. I can change the voltage on there.
However i tried to change it the other day and it stayed the same, so i went on my BIOS and it says "VCORE Voltage : 1.39v" and the other option to 1.39v is "IGNORE"
should i set tht to "IGNORE" and then set the voltage on "AI Booster"? this way would the AI Booster override the bios setting?

Which motherboard are you using?

It would be better to use the BIOS rather than the software program. Consult your mobo manual if you don't know how to correctly adjust the voltage through the BIOS.

my motherboard is an ASUS M2N-E.
and the program im using came with the the motherboard installation CD.
What do you think i should do? there the only options i get on the bios and i cannot change the value of it
