CPU weak link?

Hello, I was wondering if my CPU or RAM could be potential weak links in my setup. This PC is used primarily as a gaming PC, And I get drops on fps over a variety of graphically intensive games. On metro 2033 and crysis, I'll get as low as 30 fps, on max settings. I have a AMD Phenom II x6 1075 T OC to 3.5 ghz and a nb clock of 2100. I have 16gb micron 1333 ram, looks cheap compared to my other pc components. The rest of my components are listed in my sig. Thanks! :)

What specific video games are you playing? 30 frames per second is not bad in my opinion.

Shadowkat might be right about overheating. Overclocking will definitely push your temperatures up.

Are these temperatures being taken when the processor is under load running video games?

My Phenom II 940 processor gets up to around 55 degrees Celsius when I am running my GT Racing 2 game.

Are you kidding that's running very cool, I presume this is idle and load temps right? I just see you have a ASUS ROG mobo, did you check out the compatibility of your RAM with it, this could cause some trouble as well... 2048Megabytes is right about the frames, 30 is not bad Metro 2033 is very graphic intensive game, that's pretty good in my opinion...

Yeah that's idle. Ill try some gaming and get temps. Good to hear that 30 fps is good for metro, 4xmsaa crushes fps..

Say, what videocards you using? Like name of maker ASUS, MSI etc.??? Need a little more than ATI Crossfire Radeon HD 6950 2GB X2 :D

Well your computer will struggle to work properly... it's not advisable to run a computer with a psu that isn't sufficient enough for it, it can damage your hardware, not to mention probably kill the psu as well...
