CPU-Z Bug?

So I'm on my old Compaq with 256MB of RAM and decided to run CPU-Z to see what they put in that thing... so I was looking at the RAM section and it said I had 512MB RAM... weird... I checked the Windows System Properties and it says I have 256MB of RAM... does CPU-Z not read RAM below 512MB or something?

This is interesting... my dump file gives me this:

DMI Memory Device
-----------------
designation DIMM 1
format DIMM
type DRAM
total width 64 bits
data width 64 bits
size 128 MBytes

DMI Memory Device
-----------------
designation DIMM 2
format DIMM
type DRAM
total width 64 bits
data width 64 bits
size 128 MBytes
Why on earth would it show 512MB in one place and 256MB in the other? Is it just confused and it's showing the max memory?

That's odd. I've never seen that before. All of my CPUZ's have been spot-on. Maybe check their website to see if anyone else has had that same issue?

Didn't see anything there about it, but then I didn't look very hard. When I was on the website I went and looked at the Hall of Fame... there's some mad crazy speeds on there... 8.2GHz on a P4 631 and 8.1GHz on a Celeron!!! :P
