Is there much difference between dualcore 2.4ghz and dualcore 3.0ghz ? Is it really noticeable ? Is it worth the money difference ?

Not very noticable at all, besides, you can OC the 2.4 to 3.0 if you really wanted to.

What are the two CPU's your consitering?

That is a GREAT processor. Where do you live? If you have a Micro Center around you, you can go to their store and pick one up for only $150 :)

Yes the E8400 is a very good processor, it is able to overclock very high! Someone here on the forum has it up to 4.8GHZ or something

Ive seen people get it up to 4.0GHZ on air cooling (like a Zalman 9700)
I believe ThatGuy16 had his set at 4.0GHZ with his Zalman 9700 right before he got OMEGA's water cooling set-up.

im really not into overclocking...im too noob and it sound quit dangerous...id like to keep the stock numbers...:o

Thats ok! :)
The E8400 should suit all your needs though. Gaming, multi-tasking...Basically it will blow threw everything except for huge encodings an stuff like that, but if your as "noobish" as you say you are, I highly doubt you need anything more :P

thx, and what would be a good Mobo ?

S775 INTEL DG33TLM G33 PCIE ???

id like not to go over 150$ and this one is one of the only intel that support 1333 bus speed...
I dont think its SLI compatible but it can take up to 8g ram

Or do you have any other option for me with that budget ?
(for e8400 cpu)

since you're leaving it at stock speed, pretty much any mobo will do. if you dont need any SLI or crossfire, you can even get a mATX in the $60 range for cheap. but i would probably suggest to OC it. 4.0ghz is pretty much standard for an e8400, but would require a mobo in the $100 range. you'll notice the difference from 2.6ghz to 4ghz

Asus PK5 Pro, i think it is... but there is a good Asus one on newegg for $104.99 and another good one for $139.99

but im I right to think that a mobo with a bus speed of 1333mhz should be better because the cpu goes to that speed ? Or its not really important and not worth the more money it may cost...?
