Cpu's

This has been brought up many times, and there are arguments for both sides. It usually ends up with the conclusion that C2D's are better for older/recent games, and C2Q are better for multi-tasking and some of the newer multi-threaded games.

I like both, I don't really have a preference though.

No matter though i7 is here :P

re

Still PC its not all games buddy:):) i think multitasking its a better thing to have than gaming , trust me. Anyway i dont think ur cpu its bad for old games . Am i worng??

Thanks and regards

U have a Quad and u wish for DUO

yeah out of what ive played, Duo seems to handle games better and with all the problems i had installing the quad it would have been much easier. When you get a quad most of the time, when i got it at least,(ton of my friends had the same problem) you would have to buy that silver thermal compound stuff for it to get a good reading.

I have a Duo and its ok but i think Quad its better but it seems that duo its better for games.

I had a question what is the difference between Dual Core and Core 2 Duo

quad is basically two duos put together but right now the difference isnt much because the motherboards arent exactly set up to run all four cores right

I love my quad really...does everything I need.

Can overclock to 3.6ghz later if I want...will have to get a better cooler though perhaps a TT120.

lol i tried to overclock and my mobo cant handle any overclocking even on for my graphics card

That sucks...sounds like someone went for a budget board??

Current board rocks...I was surprised at how well the chipset heatsinks were doing.

I might attach a 80mm fan on the south bridge during the summer to be safe though ^-^

I am a big fan of Gigabyte and MSI.

ASUS use to have my business but after their bogus 8800GT stunt and their 3rd world tech support that refused a RMA with a faulty board on their end kinda killed the love.

I swear the few times I have called tech support I ended up teaching them something vs getting help.
