the other day my brother dropped a penknife (closed) on our laptop which i verry stupidly left on the floor. the screen looks as though it has cracked like glass, does anyone know if it would be better to send it to ASUS to get it repaired or buy myself a 15.4" WXGA monitor and fit it in myself. or the third option is to buy a desktop monitor and run it off that. or even to get a new desktop pc.
the laptop is a ASUS X58Lseries, if anyone wants to know.
kinda getting angry at ASUS now, i had to send this laptop away to get the screen repaired after a technical fault with it that wasnt due to me (it was free), but they also said that if i send them my laptop with the screen broke and its my fault then i will be charged £80 for a new screen.... kinda makes me wonder how much of a poor job they have done with the screen, even though the laptop has worked great.
sorry i cant take a picture of it, i lost my camera charger somewhere and have been to busy to look.
i guess it would also be best if i stopped using the laptop, my brothers on my desktop and i got to settle with half of the screen being broke and a verry small internet browser
