crackling sound coming from monitor

Sometime very loud also. All my monitors sometimes does it. Not often.
Just curious what it is associated with. Thought it was maybe the frame.
Yesterday it was a very, very loud 'POP'. Hasn't happened since.
Yes, everything's working well.

Do you have integrated speakers on these monitors? If so, I would say some sort of interference.

No......and never did have integrated speakers.

You could have a short somewhere or it could possibly be the power transformer going out. Do you notice any burning smell when it pops?

No. But all the monitors i have had has done it at one time.
Might go for 6mo before it does it again. Not an issue. just curious.

Thats not good. I have never had a monitor make a noise. What brand of monitors do you have?

24" Samsung Syncmasters. and the noise is sometime only.
Yes ive had for maybe 8 years now. Still working.
