Crappy Internet Connection, any suggestions?

Well we have moved in to a "rural area" and we get a crappy signal from our provider. I mean I can barley watch a video on youtube. The came and put one of these on our garage

My question is does anyone know any tips that could make the signal better, I cant download anything because we lose connection at least once every half hour. Thanks for any advice.
 
Lol they can do internet over UHF? Are you talking about a wireless connection on your PC, or that thing on the roof? DSL would be great, but if your too far away from the central office they won't be able to provide. Which is probably the case.

Ive tried everywhere cant get anything. We have a great cable company, its crazy the other end of my block has it, but they said it would cost to much money to run it on our block .6 miles away!

O i have numerous times. I pretty much just given up. I guess when our lease is up we are going to have to move because that is just to important to me.
