Crash and burn

I need some help. I have a Dell Latitude D630 laptop with Windows XP. Everything works great except when I put in my Sprint internet card.
Very randomly it will pop up with a blue screen of death and the error it shows is BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER. Then the laptop crashes and reboots by itself.
If I take the Sprint card out it never happens. Also if i have the card plugged in but not connected to the internet is will still crash.
This happens randomly and I can figure out the cause. Can someone please help or does anyone know what I can do to resolve this.
Thank you.

Well you could try uninstalling the drivers, reboot, and re install them to see if that works, if its usb try a dif port, if pcmcia some laptops have 2 of them ports also u could try switching it up, or its possible your port is bad, also could be just a windows problem

I already tried to reinstall the drivers and it didn't work. I also got the latest updates for the device.
Unfortunately there is only one pcmcia slot.
Is it possible to get a usb wire that can connect a pcmcia device to a usb slot?? I would buy it and try that.

sprint card problem

Wow, you have a real problem there. It took me some time to think of what MAY be the issue here. Now i am not an "expert" per say, but I have dealt with my fair share of difficulties.

My first thought was hardware, have you talked to the manufacturer? Try it if you haven't, they may be your best bet.

And onward we trudge!

Have you ever possibly damaged your laptop from a fall or overheating?

The overheating thing might lead to a BIOS problem, in that case I wonder how stable your computer really is. If your computer has overheated then you may have "baked" the BIOS. In that case, update your BIOS.

If you have never updated BIOS then it still may be your problem. So try a BIOS update. (I'm betting this is what it is.)

PLEASE TAKE NOTE:If your notebook PC contains a Cardbus card or USB device, please remove the Cardbus card and/or USB device prior to performing the BIOS upgrade.

I would highly recommend that you clean your computer of dust or any other foreign materials before you update BIOS. If you update BIOS on a dirty computer you will not only remove BIOS (and destroy it) while updating but you may also irreparably damage your computer!

It occurred to me that your hardware may be at fault if that doesn't work. If you have dropped or otherwise caused harm to your computer then god only knows what may be wrong.

So go ahead an pull that case apart and clean that computer, and at the same time check for damaged hardware (if that may be the case).

(If you are unsure of the procedures to carry out these tasks then find a good computer store and have them do it for you.)

sorry to mislead you. my computer isn't overheating. it is just crashing with that error. i was just putting a dumb subject line to my problem. thank you for your help.

Nope. Do you know if they make a pcmcia to a usb slot adapter? I would like to try that option and see if it fixes the problem.
