I want to create a wireless home network with my BT Home Hub.
Is that Possible is my first question.

Both my laptop and desktop computer have wireless capabilities. and both are wireless connected to my BT Home hub. Both computers are running windows xp.

Can somone give me some instructions how i could connect the two computers and share folders.

I'm not really sure what you're asking then. If you are already connected wirelessly to your modem, then why are you looking to set up a new wireless network? What exactly are you trying to do?

First you need to enable file and print sharing. The easiest way is to go to use the network setup wizard. To get to that go to Start > Control Panel > Network Connection > and on the right you should see a network wizard. Once you start the wizard up make sure you set the same workgroup to each computer, and that you enable file and print sharing.

When you set up a wireless network you don't connect the PC's together, you connect them to a wireless router. Although you could connect them together wirelessly, although they can can't connect to the modem via wireless.

when you say BT, do you mean blue tooth?

You also need to be in the same workgroup to use the network browser, otherwise you have to connect to via smb by ip address (or domain name, but home networks do not use domains).

for example

\\192.168.1.111\shared

You can type that in any explorer menu or the run menu and it will connect
