create backup disc of game

hey guys i have a question. one of my friends gave me a guild wars account and i borrowed his cds. is there any way i could backup his cds for him in case they scratch or he dicides to throw them out??? ty
 
well guild wars doesn't need the cd's to run. If he is going to throw them out just ask him to give them to you if you need to reinstall in the future.

But not many people will tell you how to copy games here. Even if you do have the account.
 
I remember these threads in the past and they say in the Eula that its illegal to make any copy of the cd, even for your own use. Not to mention you need to break the copy protetion on newer cd's.
