Went to look for a decent sized (£100 gig+) NAS external hard drive recently and was shocked at the expense and the lack of choice. It seems mad that there are so many relatively cheap USB hard drives available but no ethernet ones.
Does anyone know if there is a kit available to make your own. If it can be done cheaply via USB, and ethernet hard ware is so cheap at the moment can you not build your own? Is it possible to adapt a USB one to give its own network address?
