CASE: NZXT Vulcan Micro ATX Case

Processor: Intel Core i7 970

MotherBoard: Gigabyte G1-Assassin XL-ATX Motherboard

RAM: Corsair CMT12GX3M3A2000C9 12GB Kit Dominator GT

Power: Gigabyte Odin GT 800W

Wow...Quite a system!!!...is the MoBo and RAM DDR3? As long as the numbers match they should be fine...and also the sockets match so all should be fine, but wait for more opinions from the Moderators...Just to be safe... :) HAVE LOADS OF FUN!!!

Why not go with a i7 2600k With a socket motherboard 1155?

But anyway, the motherboard is a ATX. You got a micro case. Motherboard wont fit.

Memory is overkill. 6gb. is fine.

Get a better power supply.
Corsair/XFX/Seasonic/PC P&C/Antec/Silverstone

Change the harddrive to a Seagate 7200.12/Western Digital Black/Samsung F3/4

Core i7 920 is based on 1366 socket for which no new processors will be released. You should better stick to socket 1155.Try Core i5 2500k or Core i7 2600k.
If buying for playing games then the i5 2500k will be more than enough.
12 GB as aforementioned is overkill. And Corsair Dominator GT is way to expensive try something from GSKill.Like the GSKIll ripjaws 6GB DDR3 1600 MHZ with CAS 8.Or Patriot Sector 5 RAM same config.
And as for PSU stick to brands Stranglehold mentioned.
You can go with a Seasonic Silver 850W or Corsair 850TX.
Gigabyte is not known for its good quality PSUs.
And WOW an HD 6990 Sweeeeet!!!!!! Card.

Ok i will take all this into consideration, also does anyone have any good ideas for the case??

What size you looking for.
A mid-tower or a full-tower.
I would recomend a full-tower.But they are huge.

For a Full Tower a Cooler Master HAF932 or a HAF X 942.
For a mid-tower cooler master HAF922 or HAF 912.

all 4 of them are awesome cases.
I am a user of haf 932.and its flawless.

Would have to agree also the antec 900 - 1200 series are nice cases as well.

Wouldn't go cheaply on a case either if planning to use those components, just as cooling is a major factor as well as a good solid power supply.
