creating a boot disk

i was wondering if it is possible to create a system boot disk (cd) for my dead win 98 pc(it turns on, and checks itself ,but it doesnt go on to the system logo, and forth) from win xp. if so, how can i do it? i read something about having a system boot and load from a cd, but that cd cost a lot.
if anyone can help me, i will be very much appreciated.

google windows 98 boot disk. There are many bootdisk images out there you can download and use free.

what happened to your windows 98, also, if you need to get anything off the disk and the bootdisk doesnt work, google "knoppix", download it, and burn the iso to a cd, is a livecd linux distro that you can acess your hard drive and get any info off it.
