Creating a new computer.

Hey everyone. I just signed onto the forums. HELLO.

Anyways.
I'm looking to build a new computer...
I have chosen a few components...actually pretty much the main stuff that I need...and I need some input on them.

Here are the components...model number and everything.

- US Modular Dual Channel 2048MB PC4200 DDR2 533MHz Memory (2 x 1024MB): $79.99 - $30 = $49.99

- Gigabyte M61VME-S2 NVIDIA Socket AM2 MicroATX Motherboard and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ 2.0GHz Processor with Fan (Retail) (3.3 lbs): $154.99

- Biostar GeForce 8600 GT / 256MB DDR2 / SLI Ready / PCI Express / DVI / VGA / HDTV / Video Card (1 lbs): $119.99

- Western Digital / Caviar SE / 300GB / 7200 / 8MB / Serial ATA-150 / Refurbished Hard Drive (1.55 lbs): $59.99

That the memory, motherboard+processor, and a pretty nice graphic card, and I just added the hdd..300 gigs for only about 60 bucks.

I also need a power supply, and a few fans.

And a case, a really good looking case that fits these things.

I believe I can salvage a few parts from my other desktop...but not sure...so a DVD Drive would be nice too(preferably lightscribe...but that's a luxury.)

Currently the things I just put up cost me about 450 bucks which is great.
I'm looking not to spend more than 200 bucks more for all that stuff.

The 450 bucks includes shipping..since the site i'm buying from(Tiger Direct)
doesn't charge tax for CA.

Please help me:D

Thanks.

edit: also, i've always wondered...would Rainbow Six Vegas work on this processor?
I know that the requirements for the game are 3.0 GHZ...but since this is a dual core processor..shouldn't the game play exeptionally well on it?

All i will say is do NOT get the 8500 video card as they suck
If i were you id get a 1950 or 7900 video card or 8600 if you want DX10 but not an 8500

really?

Alright man..thanks a LOT!.
I'll check into this.and I'll update the thread.

edit:
it seems that if you buy the card from Zotac, they give it to you with a clock speed of 700 MHZ..which performs better than the 8600gt.
plus this 8500 gt is WORLDS better than my ATI Radeon 9550.

So.i think I'll just stick with the 8500 gt...but try to find one that is from Zotac.

thanks:D

edit 2:You were right man. it is better...and I found it for about 25 bucks more so i chose that instead.
check out the specs now.
dang i hope this thing plays BF2 on perfect settings.
