i want to setup a proxy on my home computer, i googled for the software but nothing came up. So can you post a link to a program or script that will let me use my home pc as a proxy server, thanks.
If you have a spare machine lying around (or are willing to part with ~$40 for a junker), you could try Smoothwall or any number of firewall appliance OSes and have a dedicated firewall/proxy machine.
I have my Smoothwall running on a PII 350Mhz and have full proxy control over who accesses the 'net.
I would also recommend smoothwall. You could also run tor on the smoothwall server, which would probally be more anonymous than whatever other proxy server you setup.
