Creating frames

How do I create a frame round an image using photoshop? I basically want a black frame to use on my thumbnails for my website

frames; I mean just a black square round the picture, help!!!!!

Right-click on the layer you want to give the "square" to, click on Blending options. Choose Stroke and change the color to black, tick the box besides the name Stroke, choose size of stroke in pixels and then click OK.

EDIT: Here's a tutorial I just made in 10 minutes.

Also, how did you make your "Start" bar all blurry?

Select what you want to blur, then Filter->Blur->Gaussian Blur
