Creating my own OS image

Hey guys. I'm new here, but i think i'm pretty good with my computer stuff. I'd like to create my own image for an operating system. either XP, Vista or Ubuntu, i haven't decided yet. I ask because everytime i reformat my computer, i have to go hunt down drivers, programs, etc, each time i do that. is there a way i can create my own image with drivers, programs, etc already on there?

Thanks in advance,

Max

The easy way is to copy your installation CD/DVD and in it, create a new folder called APP where you store everything. Otherwise, you need to look into unattended installations.

Look here.

thanks addle. your link looks like what i'm looking for! do they have a guide like this for vista and/or linux?
