Creating windows 10 backup

is it possible to create an activated version of windows 10 backup that is capable of restoring windows 10 to a new hard drive within the windows? I only have windows 7 product key and if i want to reinstall windows after free upgrade to windows 10 ends I want to be able to install a activated version of windows 10 since I don't think my windows 7 key will work.

If you did the upgrade on an installation with that key then you can just use the same win7 key to activate win10
