Hi, today, while watching a music video and converting music files, my computer froze and restarted with these symptoms (i've been away 3 weeks so i suspect my 9 year old brother downloaded games with adware attached):

Can't drag-and-drop
Can't copy and paste
Can't see user name in the task manager beside the processes and under the users tab
Can't open many programs, including internet browsers but excluding games and messenger (which still work, along with the internet connection)
Can't use system restore

As I've said, I can't open any browser windows on that computer, and most programs can't be opened. Also, I can't transfer files to or from the computer because i cannot drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste.

take a screenshot and upload it to an image site like photobucket? can you select all the text, right click and click copy, then right click the forum post box and click paste? if not you could perform the arduous task of typing it out manually by copying it down... or upload the .txt file to an online storage company?

or take a screenshot and put it on a usb to transfer it to the current working compuer...

Have you tried using Hijackthis on Safe Mode?

Except I don't have the program and I can't download it.

Start windows in Safe Mode.... I think you can do it from bios not sure. Maybe you should do it with Networking.
