lookie what i found :D
HD 3870 1Gb

no, but seriously, it has full PCIe 2.0 x16!!
but the PicoPSU will never push it. and it will definitely not fit in my case :(

So if this is a dumb question but, why'd you buy a notebook harddrive?

Because its smaller, and he obviusly wants a small system.

Dont know whats going with that 3870 though lol...these cards are huge!

i finally finished it, minus a few details... enjoy some pics:

the hard drive is under the mobo, in the rear right side:

making the rear shield fit was the hardest part:

hooked up and ready to go:

i put a green LED and accidentaly removed the Nintendo logo :( if anybody has a sticker then can send me :)

comments welcome !

where can I get a case like that it's amazing I love the flat white finish on it :good: lol. Forget Antec and Cooler master that's the new big thing everybody will have one by Christmas:D.

is that the old school 80's nintendo console? sick!

LOL, yeah it's a NES, it was anyways  it had that bumpy/grainy texture on it, but it was dirty and yellow. so i sanded it off! it took forever, and i kind of got carried away and erased the Nintendo logo on the front door; it was fading anyways, but i miss it :(

btw if you ever work on plastic, make sure you wear a facemask as well as eye protectors. i didn't and my nose got really messed up; and just before it healed, i had this massive bleeding, totally not fun! :(

it does get a little warm; speedfan only reports on the cores, about 60C, but i imagine the geforce chipset gets warmer since it has no fan. it runs windows 7 awesomely! :) it's not very loud, but i leave the cartridge door open for ventilation so i can hear it a bit.

dats sick! haha old school nintendo

i remembered the nes. got to a point where to get my games to play i had to blow on the game cartridge's insertable end. oddly enough same for the super nes and gameboy

I think everybody had to do that I still remember that in never failed I still have my super nes and it still works as long as you blow in the cartridge plus it has better graphics then my Wii:D.

I never blow'd in my games, and my games and console still work till today. but, It's all in the closet now. I had this little cleaning wand I used instead ;)

Wow, what an amazing idea.I remember a long time ago my friend gave me his nintendo nes. And its laying somewhere in the attic, so if I find It I will send you the nintendo sticker for shure. And you should probably work on cooling your nintendo-pc better. But overall I was really impressed

What a waste of a good nes....:P
it's actually missing the controllers, and i only have like two games for it, which may or may not work. i had actually taken it apart some time ago to 'fix' it, but never got around to it. i may have also lost some of the componets since then, so i don't feel too bad for it :)

Very nicely done... looks great.
thanks :good:

the Nintendo logo is actually painted on the case.
i'm running it without the cover and it's a good low 40s, so yeah, i need to mod it a bit more for airflow, i just hope i don't mess up the look any more :)
