critique my new build

Looks like you might be able to fit a 40 or 60mm on the left hand side in the back. It gonna be used as an 80's themed media center computer?:P

i installed a 40 mil right where the controller ports go after removing them. i didn't have to mod it, teh fan just kind of fit in there. i though about putting one towards the back where you said, but i don't want to cut it up anymore. i did remove parts of the top vents from the inside, they are L shaped and really restrict airflow. it doesn't look too bad and is barely noticeable, temps went down about 10C, currently running high 40s low 50s.

the original plan was to run teh old games (don't ask :P), but while shopping for mini-itx mobo, i wanted the latest and greatest. turned out to be very powerful, running windows 7 RC 64-bit. will probbly use it for everyday tasks: school, work, and web; have been watching Hulus :). will try to run CS:S later today, might even become my light gaming pc :). i will need a cd/dvd drive though, currently have none. :(

Looks almost like you could fit a slimline(laptop) sata optical drive in the cartridge port. Although if you left that open i would think your temps would drop somewhat more. If using only one fan, use it as exhaust and you should see some lower temps.

I know this is an old thread but since it was referenced, how or where did you get the PSU in the case?

it's called a pico-PSU. it's basically a AC/DC brick that sits outside the case and a DC-DC transformer/regulator that plugs into the 24-pin plug in teh motherboard. kind of like a laptop.

thanks for looking; since i've added dual usb ports where the controller ports used to be.

also, i bought another nes to make a new case out of it, it's going to be better and i'll be able to fit a slim dvd drive, currently have none.

wow, that pretty sweet.

Im thinking about doing a build inside a crt moniter shell, using an lcd moniter and put the mobo and etc behind it.
