Cross Fire with 2xfirestream 9170 (softmodded)

Hi,

Hope anyone can help?

I have a Desktop PC with an AMD 9500 quadcore cpu (4x2,1 GHz) with two graphics card (originally 2x ATI HD3850, 1GB ea.) that have been softmodded to 2xATI firestream 9170. I am runing XP pro and 3DS max 2008 (32bit).

I am in doubt wether both graphic cards are running, is there a way to see or test?
If they are not running with crossfire, is the only solution to swop the configuration back to the old cards, or is there a way???
I am currently doing some heavy interior renders with detaling that cannot be optimized much more, number of polys is between 800,000 and 2 million.

yea, you can test it with 3dmark. (make sure Catalyst AI is enabled when you use Crossfire!) disable it, see what the framerate is, then enable it and see what the framerate is. if you have catalyst ai disabled, you wont see (much) of a difference, so make sure its enabled. :)

Do you mean the catalyst advanced interface?
How do I turn it on?
Nothing seem to happen when I click the icon.
I have 3dmark 06, would that do, any special settings?
