I downloaded both the Pro and the Games version for Mac. They said I should be getting my serial number through e-mail soon.

I used cross over in the past but haven't messed with it in a while. I got a copy of the Linux version and the Mac version. Will probably be testing it out mainly on my MBP, but perhaps my iMac as well.

Crossover is a set of APIs that allow you to run windows apps on an Intel based mac. Parallels is a virtualization software that allows you to run Windows as a virtual machine on an intel mac. They are different products. To say one is better than the other would be opinion, and probably not factual, since they both do different things.
Cross over has been around since the beginning of intel macs and they haven't gone under so they must be doing something right and it is free so I would say, hey why not give it a shot?

correct because it is a set of APIs that allows windows apps to run on any OS but only on x86 hardware.
