Crossfire Problem?

I have an ASUS A8R32-DELUXE motherboard and two ATI Technologies Radeon X1300 Pro videocards and am trying to get crossfire operating properly. I have the latest ATI drivers and catalyst control center updated, I have crossfire enabled from the control center but everytime I want to run an application using 3d including the visual demos in the control center, the computer immediately restarts. When crossfire is not enabled, the computer runs fine.

Any help?

one of the x1300's is a master, and the other one is a slave card? at least,.. from what I know you need on crossfire edition card as master, and a normal card as slave, correct me if i'm wrong.

but, have you tried using an older version of the Ati drivers?

ATI X1300 and X1600 cards aren't supposed to require a crossfire edition card and also don't need a link. it is all supposed to run through the CPU and North bridge for data transfer. I used old drivers from the original cd I got with the videocard itself. another thing i just thought of is that it might possibly be the motherboard bios.

Other ideas?
