crossfire?

i was looking at 2900xt cards and it seems that there are no crossfire editions.

is it necessary for the 2900 series or have they just not made them yet?

You can see by looking at the card you will see the connectors for the corssfire cables

All of the 2900 series support crossfire, but they got rid of having a CF edition and needing special cables. Now it's much more like SLI, where all you need is a CF compatible motherboard and a CF-connector which connects them on top of the cards.
